Hewlett-Packard
Large-Format LED Illusion Visual System
Large-Format Visual Communication Designed for
Live and Broadcast Environments
Triplex Events commissioned Triken Studios to develop a large-format LED visual sequence for a Hewlett-Packard event, featuring three LED surfaces arranged as a spatial volume. One screen was positioned on the floor, with two vertical screens forming the side walls, creating the impression of a cubic space within the stage environment.
The visuals were designed to produce a glasses-free, holographic-style illusion from the audience’s point of view, while remaining suitable for live capture and broadcast viewing. Careful perspective control and spatial alignment across all surfaces was required.
while remaining suitable for live capture and broadcast viewing.
The challenge
The stage configuration introduced complex spatial constraints.

Specifically:
-
Read as a coherent, three-dimensional illusion from the audience’s fixed viewing angle
-
Appear unified across three physically separate LED surfaces
-
Maintain a flat, legible appearance for live-stream and recorded video
-
Avoid distortion, misalignment, or depth breaks during presentation
Any miscalculation in perspective or alignment would immediately break the illusion and undermine the intended effect during a live event context.

The approach
Triken Studios designed the sequence as a perspective-controlled visual system optimised for the audience’s point of view.

The approach focused on:
-
Designing the full sequence as a flat master composition from the audience angle
-
Pre-visualising the stage as a three-surface spatial volume
-
Projecting the master composition onto a 3D stage mock-up to validate depth and alignment
-
Re-rendering the visuals into surface-specific outputs to preserve the illusion across all LED screens
All design decisions prioritised spatial accuracy and visual continuity, ensuring the illusion held consistently without requiring live manipulation.
Deployment & outcome
The final visuals were deployed as the event kickoff sequence across the three-stage LED setup and the live-stream broadcast. The system delivered a consistent visual experience for in-room attendees and remote viewers, supporting a clear and controlled opening to the event.

The project demonstrated Triken Studios’ ability to design and adapt large-format event visuals for complex stage environments while maintaining clarity, alignment, and delivery certainty under fixed event timelines.
