EXPLAINER VIDEO PRODUCTION · SINGAPORE

Explainer Videos That Get Your Product Understood

An explainer video is a short, focused piece of animation built to get a first-time viewer, usually a prospective buyer or a new user, to understand what your product does and why it matters, in under two minutes. Triken has been building them for over ten years and 400+ projects, for healthcare, SaaS, and enterprise teams across Singapore and the region. Explainer video projects typically cost SGD 7,000 to SGD 20,000, with most projects landing around SGD 15,000.

We make explainer videos that help buyers understand your product in minutes, not meetings, for healthcare, SaaS, and enterprise teams across the globe.

The explanation is the hard part. That's what we build.

Most explainer videos fail not because the animation is weak, but because the explanation was built in the wrong order for how a first-time viewer takes it in. We map that order first, then produce the video on top of it.

A FEW EXAMPLES

Explainer videos across the range

Product launches, onboarding, and sales support, built to get a first-time viewer up to speed fast.

What we use explainer videos for

  • Product and software launches

  • Onboarding and how-it-works content

  • Sales and pitch support

  • Internal and stakeholder alignment

Structure first, then production

Before anything is animated, we decide what to say, in what order, and what appears on screen while it's said. That structure is the difference between a video people nod through and one that changes how they see your product.

What does the explainer video process look like?

The band above says it plainly: most explainer videos fail because the explanation was built in the wrong order, not because the animation is weak. That's why script and structure get locked before a single frame is storyboarded.

01

Discovery & script

What to say, in what order, and for who.

02

Storyboard & style frames

Locked script turned into a shot-by-shot plan.

03

Production

Animation and voiceover built to the approved board.

04

Delivery

Formatted for wherever the video will live.

Discovery is where we figure out what your product needs explained, and in what sequence a first-time viewer can follow it. Script and voiceover casting happen here too, most clients hand this straight to us rather than writing it themselves. Storyboard turns the locked script into a shot-by-shot plan for your sign-off, so what gets animated has already been agreed on paper, not discovered mid-production.

How much does an explainer video cost, and what drives the price?

Explainer videos typically cost SGD 7,000 to SGD 20,000, with most projects landing around SGD 15,000. The final price depends on length, visual style, and the amount of scripting, scenes, storyboarding, and animation required.

Where most projects land

Large-format broadcast or event work is scoped individually against the venue, screen count, and live deadline, and can run well beyond this range.

What pushes a project up the range: highly detailed or customised character styles, multiple product features or use cases covered in one video, and voiceover in more than one language. What keeps it down: a single clear use case, a simpler visual style, and a script that's settled early. If you don't already have a reference style, we can provide a range of visual styles for you to choose from.

Do you use AI in explainer video production?

Yes, extensively, and it's not limited to one style. We build with AI across 2D, 3D, and photorealistic footage, including fully AI-generated video with realistic people in it, when that's the right fit for the brief.

WHAT AI CAN CARRY

  • Full sequences in 2D, 3D, or photorealistic style

  • AI-generated voiceover and on-screen talent, when it fits

  • Style exploration, animatics, and rapid iteration

WHAT STILL COMES FROM US

  • Script and positioning, deciding what to say and how

  • The call on which approach fits your brief

  • Final quality check before anything ships

The judgment isn't whether AI can build an explainer video, it clearly can, across every style we work in. It's knowing which approach fits your brief, your budget, and your audience, and being straight with you about which one to use.

How long does an explainer video take, start to finish?

A typical explainer video runs four to eight weeks from brief to final delivery. Most of that time sits in script and storyboard, not animation itself, since a locked script is what keeps production from running long.

Most explainer videos land at 60 to 90 seconds. That's roughly how long a first-time viewer gives an unfamiliar product before their attention moves on, long enough to land one clear idea, short enough that nobody has to sit through it. Longer runtimes are possible, but usually mean the brief is trying to cover more than one video's worth of message.

What do you need to have ready before we start?

You don't need a script, or a voiceover artist lined up, both are part of the service.

What helps most is clarity on who the video is for and what you want them to do after watching it, along with whatever product material already exists: a deck, a live demo, existing screenshots or footage. If you've already got a script or a preferred voice, we build around that instead.

Is an explainer video the right format for your project?

Explainer video earns its place when you need one clear idea understood fast, by someone seeing your product for the first time: a landing page visitor, a prospect early in a sales cycle, a new user in onboarding.

If what you're explaining is a physical mechanism or device that needs to be shown with technical accuracy, that leans more on our 3D Animation or Medical Animation page. If it's data, a system, or a brand moment rather than a single narrative, that's closer to Motion Graphics. A lot of real briefs sit across more than one of these, and a working session sorts out which shape fits.
