FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2025
Motion Graphics
International basketball event visual system
FIBA 2025 is an international basketball tournament requiring a comprehensive motion graphics system to support live in-arena presentation and broadcast environments. The graphics needed to function in real time during gameplay, across multiple screen formats, and under fixed event timelines.
The project was commissioned to deliver a scalable, reliable visual system capable of supporting tournament-wide presentation, where clarity, consistency, and accuracy were critical to live sports operations.
The Challenge
The scope of the project was defined by scale and time pressure.
A large volume of player-specific, match-specific, and event graphics had to be designed, animated, and delivered within a compressed production window. Many inputs were finalised late in the schedule or evolved close to broadcast deadlines, increasing the risk of inconsistency, version errors, or missed delivery.
In parallel, the visual system needed to introduce a refreshed look for the 2025 tournament, clearly distinct from previous editions, while remaining legible at speed and usable in live gameplay contexts.

Our Approach
Triken Studios developed a structured motion graphics system designed to scale efficiently under live-event constraints.
The approach focused on:
-
Establishing a consistent visual framework capable of supporting high asset volume
-
Designing graphics for legibility at speed and across large-format displays
-
Structuring workflows to enable parallel production and rapid updates
-
Applying strict version control to manage late-stage inputs and revisions
Design decisions prioritised operational clarity and reliability over stylistic experimentation, ensuring the system could be deployed confidently under real-time conditions.
Deployment and Use
The graphics were created for in-arena deployment across jumbotrons and LED screens, supporting:
-
Gameplay moments and transitions
-
Audience-facing sequences
-
Event presentation and visual continuity
They were designed to integrate smoothly into a live event environment while remaining flexible for different use cases throughout the programme.

Outcome
The final motion graphics package delivered energetic, premium visuals that remained clear and functional at scale throughout the event.
The visuals enabled consistent communication across all event assets, reduced risk during live deployment, and absorbed late changes without compromising accuracy or delivery timelines.
